After a server upgrade from php5.2 to php5.3 the RokDownloads - Latest downloads module started throwing errors. Time for a quick repair-job.

Today, I updated my Easyblog component to the newest version, 2.03647. Brand new admin look, and did some changes on the layout, too.

Since I updated my site to Joomla, I get spam through my contact form and I really, really don't like that. So installed the OSOL captcha plugin.... and it works like a charm.

While updating a site from joomla 1.5.x to 1.5.21, I found this site was running jEvents 1.5.3, while 1.5.4 was available. I like to stay up-to-date with everything, so time for an update. Which didn't turn out to be done easily.

I have a Joomla install with nBill for selling tickets to seminars. It generates invoices and the registered users can review their history of seminars they have done.

Did an upgrade from 1.5.18 to 1.5.21 for 2 websites today. Also updated JCE and removed Jevents , replaced it with EventList.

Did another Joomla upgrade, from 1.5.11 straight to 1.5.21. The Joomla update itself was no hassle at all, it was more the installed extensions that gave me some headaches.

Well, since I lost my settings, it was neccesary to create a new theme, to make Easyblog match my site's layout again.

Updated my Easyblog extension to the newest version, 1.1.112.

Updated reddie.nl to the latest Joomla version 1.5.21. Also updated my RSFirewall extension to the latest version. All up-to-date again!

Installed MooFAQ today, to start a FAQ on my website. We use MooFAQ on the website of Scouting Netherlands and I kinda liked it. Strange thing is, on the developer's website it says it is a paid component (USD16) but in the download area you can just go ahead and download, while other components if this developer can only be downloaded after paying.

Upgraded my EasyBlog component to the newest version 1.1.106 BETA.

I wasn't completely satisfied with K2 for my blog, so I went ahead and installed EasyBlog for Joomla!

 

The next extension I tried is Sexy Lightbox from ARI Soft. 

It is a module plus system plugin and costs 12 dollars.

So, the first component I am testing is MorfeoShow.

My Joomla site has version 1.5.18
MorfeoShow is version 1.2.0

A customer needs a way to display his photo"s in his new Joomla site, and is used to upload them through ftp and then manually place them in tables. Yuck. That should be easier.

So what we need:

For one of my customers, I needed a component to show events, with views on groups of events and location of events. This customer does computer workshops, and groups of events are f.i. Microsoft workshops, or Adobe workshops. Locations were needed as this company has two different venues.

Online booking is not an issue for the moment, just listing events from several views.

I installed Eventlist by Schlu.net (version 1.0.1, joomla 1.5.18).

One of my customers wanted a little more options than the default joomla poll comp. So searching the net, I found there aren"t really that many options available, most of them commercial and still no idea if they would bring what my customer wants.

So I settled for PollXT. It sounded promising.
