Sometimes, you hang on to the old stuff as long as possible. One of my clients had an joomla 1.0.15 site, which didn't change that much over time, so we hadn't taken the time to migrate to 1.5. Time to make a change...

Well. A RocketTheme template with the Gantry framework proves too much for the SP upgrade migrate-template option so it is time for plan B.

Plan B is: install the original RocketTheme template in the joomla 1.6+ compatible version, then replace images, css files and settings back to my changed layout.

So I migrated my site from joomla 1.5.25 to joomla 2.5.1 with SP upgrade. This extension also made a template migration. Let's see if we can install it and get my layout back.

I started another new site, and for this one, I am using Joomla 1.7.3, along with a Rockettheme template and the gantry template framework.

It is a site for my mother's company

Building a new website for Scouting.nl, which will contain all scouting locations in the Netherlands. The design is similar to the main site, but of course with some differences, like a horizontal menu instead of vertical, a new color variation and as I discovered, a challenge for displaying images, about ten degrees rotated left or right, overlapping eachother, with a nice shadow-effect. Well, we have CSS3, lots of new features, shouldn't be too difficult, right?

Well, after a little sidestep from Joomla to WordPress it was only a matter of time.... I will be working on my first Drupal site starting this week.

While working on my first WordPress site, I installed one of Rockettheme's wonderful WordPress themes and started working my way through that to style it they way I want it to appear.

Learning something new every day, I soon discovered the template showed english content despite the fact that WordPress itself was in Dutch. Which meant, I had some translating to do.

Begin dit jaar is de website van de Wierdense IJsclub geheel vernieuwd. Ten eersteis de site voorzien van een fris jasje - een nieuwe template, en is de informatie op de site anders geordend en hopelijk duidelijker voor de bezoekers.

Several times now, I have had the situation with Joomla 1.5.x that my template layout disappears when browsing through a site. So the home page appears with template markup, the rest just displays in html-format. 

The problem sometimes sorts itself out, is it a cache problem? Something else?
