nBill vs RSFormsPro + RSEvents?

22 October 2010

Since I have to update to joomla 1.5 at some point ( or skip 1.5 and go to 1.6 at once) and since nBill needs to be updated AND we are missing some information in nBill I am wondering if I can achieve what I need with RSEvent and RSFormsPro.

With nBill, I create products for each seminar, and make an subscription form where people can sign up for one or more seminars. I do need discount possibilities, so the price could get less if one books several seminars at once.

joomla-event-boxEvery subscription results in an invoice, and we have a payment gateway, so one can pay online for the subscription. The invoice will remain open until it is payed, and payment is logger either through the gateway, or manually through the backend.

What we are missing is listings like how many people have subscribed for a specific seminar, have they paid and how many seats are reemaining for a seminar. NBill doen't really help with that.

joomla-form-boxI'm wondering what can be done with RSjoomla components. The listing of people subscribed to an event should be easier, and I think an invoice could be created in an email from rsforms.... But how about the discounts, the multiple events at once.... Will this be too much to ask for these products? Or is it possible, but too complicated to learn my cusomers on how to create the submission forms? And will have to look at the possibility to connect it to iDeal, the Dutch payment gateway. Will that work?
